Lithium battery suddenly jumps when charging

Battery drops suddenly from 70 to 0%

I am observing from last 1 week that my laptop shuts automatically when it is not charging and showing 70 to 80% battery. I felt that i didn''t notice the pop warning regarding battery but it i think i need to replace my battery because it has been 2.5 years since i am using the laptop.
